If you can steal wood, you can work!
Just finished two hours of shooting photos of me around Austin for our upcoming web site redesign and advertising campaign. Not fun.
I haven't had this much attention paid to me since my friends and I got arrested for stealing scrap wood to build a tree house when I was in high school. Also not fun.
I had a broken arm in a cast at the time and was off work as a boat dealership "lot boy" (affectionately known as "L-B" to the two frequently drunk and always entertaining salesmen at the dealership) because I couldn't climb in and out of the boats I was supposed to be cleaning.
Best quote following that incident, from my mother: "If you can steal wood, you can work!" I went back to work--with the cast on--that day and haven't stopped since.
By the way, the broken arm was from another exploit (skipping church to play football) that led to another great Gloria (my Mom) quote: "I HOPE it's broken!"

Great story JB!
You didn't recognize that as the luxurious La Quinta in Houston? You're not a regular there? I am! I'm not there anymore though. I WISH I had been in Austin, is Austin less sweaty and disgusting?
